A Few Words Quoted From the Artist Shortly Before her Passing in 2020

My paintings are included in numerous private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe.

The inspiration, composition and themes for nearly all my paintings come from nature. Whether realistic, romantic or abstract, the rhythm of nature vibrates through my work.  The changing seasons, moods, light from morning to dusk, the crispness of a winter day, the heavy lustrous shimmer of a summer mid-noon, are all impressions I try to retell in my paintings.

I have painted and still do paint in acrylic, pastel, pencil drawings, etchings and pen and ink.  Watercolor is one of my favorite media because it is dynamic, alive, vibrant and exciting.  It can be detailed or vague, dreamy or stark, colorful or subdued, translucent or transparent, in short, a most flexible medium.

I start with an impression, a concept, a mood, composition or color combination.  I paint in loose abstract patterns until I feel something happening.  Usually the painting tells me which direction to take and I follow my feelings.  I paint from within.  Painting this way is not easy and impossible to explain."
